ChildReader X ChildKidd (AU) Sandbox

Smiling you ran your fingers through the warm golden sand. You giggled as it drained between your fingers and fell back to create a pile in the sandbox. You looked up to see if you could find anything interesting that would entertain you more. You scanned the playground filled with young kids all running around. Children of different ages, some five and others ten. As you scanned the scenery, your  (e/c) eyes landed at a small red, plastic bucket. Happily you pushed yourself up off the sand and waddled over to the toy. Picking it up you examine it carefully as you make your way back. Paying no attention to your surrounding.
THUD!
You felt something hard hit against your head, the impact making you fall backwards and landing on the ground beneath you. Looking up you see someone towering above you. Thats when it occurred to you. You walked into someone!
"Oi! Watch where youre walking. Baby." He growled.
You couldn't stop it, he was scary and your head hurt. Tears started streaming down your cheeks as you sobbed.
"What a crybaby." He huffed then noticed your bucket. Narrowing his eyes, he smiled - an idea.
You watched him pick up the red toy, eyes red and puffy with cheeks wet from the tears. You watched as he ran to a  small pond next to the playground. Filled up the bucket and walked back grinning. You couldn't move, even though you knew what he was going to do you couldnt move - you were too scared. He raised the bucket of water to waist level and you tightly shut your eyes awaiting the cold shower.
It never came.
You felt a light drizzle of water, but it wasn't the same amount from the bucket. Scared as to what you were going to see, you opened your eyes. Slowly.
A shadow. No it was a boy with red hair, your old friend. He was standing in front of you facing away with his arms outstretched as if to protect you.  Water was dripping off of his clothes and hair.
"Leave ____ alone!" The redhead yelled.
You heard the other boy growl but soon saw him retreating to the other side of the playground.    
Once he was way out of sight the red haired boy turned around.
"___ are you ok? He didn't hurt you did he?"
You couldn't respond, you leapt up and wrapped your arms around his neck, crying even more. "Hey ___ you'll get wet!"
"Kidd you idiot! why did you do that?! He could have hurt you! You're all wet now, what if you get ill?!" You cried into his neck.
Kidd tensed for a moment then sighed and hugged you back.
"Youre the idiot here. There's no way I would have ever let him lay a finger on you no matter what happened to me." He muttered into your ear holding you close until you calmed down and stopped crying.
"You should get changed Kidd." You mutter wiping your eyes with your arm and pulling on his hand to follow you. He wouldnt budge.
"Kidd?" You ask concerned to see that his face was turning red and he wouldn't look into your eyes. "Kidd?" You asked again.
"Umm..ehh.. you're hurt.." he muttered as he took a step forward leaning towards you.                                    
You could feel something cold press against your forehead and looked up to see Kidd pressing his lips to the spot you had bumped. Dumbfounded you just stood there confused. Kidd quickly pulled back, face even redder than before looking down at the ground.
"So it won't hurt anymore."
